Yell are looking for driven, experienced Business Development Directors to join our Field based team across the UK. You will be part of the No.1 provider of managed digital marketing services for all types of local businesses in the UK. This is a newly created role with a focus on developing high value new business opportunities to enable our clients to achieve their long-term business growth objectives.


The position will suit an established professional with a proven record of growing sales revenue in a Digital Marketing environment via B2B. As a Business Development Director, you will have an extensive portfolio of products to sell to your customers including Yell marketplace, websites, social, videos, display advertising, reputation management and Pay Per Click.


What the role involves…

Responsible for delivering a pure Growth model of high value new business by actively identifying, hunting and acquiring new digital opportunities within the market.
Selling Yell’s digital product portfolio at a high level to propose the right commercial model that will maximise revenue and meet the customer requirements.
Building long lasting relationships with business owners from various sectors.
Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within the wider business, including telesales, finance and marketing.

What we expect from you…

Digital savvy person with a strong understanding of digital marketing.
Minimum 2 years’ experience and a proven track record of success in selling high value new business in the Digital Marketing space in B2B is essential.
Excellent prospecting, networking, persuasion, negotiation and closing skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (including presentations)
High level of computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases and the Internet.
Excellent customer relations skills.
Highly numerate person with the ability to work with data.
Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels in a wide range of organisations.

Senior Account Manager – Field Sales - South

This is a field sales role with a focus on developing high value new business opportunities whilst managing an account base of Yell’s mid-spend customers.

We’re currently looking for applicants within UK South, including the following areas:

East Midlands, West Midlands, Bucks/Oxon/Beds, East Anglia, Kent/Sussex, Western England

The primary function of the role is to retain, nurture and grow your customers’ product spend into high performing digital marketing solutions, whilst actively sourcing new business. Essentially, the need to develop and grow your client’s digital portfolio will be your everyday driver as well as acquiring new high value prospects who are looking for a digital agency level solution.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will have an extensive portfolio of products to help you identify valuable solutions for your customers including Pay Per Click, SEO and Agency Social; as well as Yell.com, Smart Performance, Websites, Video and Reputation Management.

What you'll be doing...

Managing a portfolio of circa 60 customers, with annualised spend ranging from £5000 - £10,000.
This role involves nurturing your customer base which you will be targeted to retain and grow each quarter; along with the acquisition of new prospects that you will self-source.
Delivering growth sales from our full range of digital solutions (including agency products) - actively identifying and acquiring new digital opportunities by developing advertising programs that meet clients’ needs and the Yell agency minimum spend thresholds.
Responsible for delivering your Growth target of high value new business by actively identifying, hunting and acquiring new digital opportunities within the market.
Selling Yell’s digital product portfolio at a high level to propose the right commercial model that will maximise revenue and meet the customer requirements.
Building long lasting relationships with your account base.
Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within the wider business, including DAD’s, KAD’s, customer service and the Yell agency.

What we need from you...

A minimum of 12 months experience in selling high value digital solutions.
Ability to demonstrate a highly successful track record of digital sales performance during their career to date at Yell.
A strategic thinker with a high understanding of digital marketing campaigns and technology.
Resilient and disciplined with tenacity. Never afraid to ask for testimonials which supports their client dedicated ethos.
Ability to demonstrate a highly effective personal development plan to continuously adapt to the digital market and keep in touch with what our competitors are doing.
An excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex digital information clearly and concisely.
Emotionally intelligent, demonstrating respectful, professional and collaborative approaches to team members and supporting functions within the business.
Task orientated, everyday willing to go the extra mile for their client.
Flexible – able to adapt to changing priorities and targets and strategies quickly.
