The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Owner has arisen at Yell within our Customer Business Unit. The purpose of the role is drive forward pro-active digital contact, automation of our processes and drive the efficiency of internal customers through new technology and tools. This role involves executing pro-active nurture communications to prove and add value to Yell’s advertiser base whilst also taking Yell’s sales and service tools to another level in FY24.

You will have direct reports and work indirectly as part of an agile scrum team.

Responsibilities

You will be a key driving force within the agile scrum team. As the PO you’ll be responsible for what the team works on, order and why. In essence you’re the voice of the customer within the team. The delivery team will then work with you to decide how to best solve the problem with you.
You will participate in daily scrum ceremonies, and oversee the: requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development and user acceptance testing
You will help to drive both the health and velocity of the team alongside the assigned Scrum master
Conduct user research, data insight collection to drive your commercial decisions and backlog order to always start with the items which will turn the dial
Work with the Head of Product to ensure the team’s vision, purpose and desired outcomes are clearly understood.
Collaborate across all Yell agile teams to remove blockers and problem solve across business units, where required.

Requirements

2 years Product Owner /Product Manager / Scrum experience
Collaborative working style with self-starter mentality
Solid understanding of key agile delivery practices
Practical experience in using Atlassian, Jira (& Miro)
A high degree of commercial acumen and a natural born problem solver
Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
Passionate, customer focused, and data led in your approach
Experienced in strengthening relationships within engineering delivery teams
Excellent attention to detail

Nice to haves

Eloqua, Marketing automation, or Sales enablement tools experience
CRM Automation and / or process improvement background
Certified SCRUM Product Owner

This is a home-based opportunity, but there will be travel to our Reading office on occasion.
