We are looking for Business Development Managers within our Cardiff territory.
Yell are at the forefront of digital marketing innovation and our Field sales force covers the whole of the UK, meaning we’re always ready to support local businesses reach their goals no matter where they are.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be working from home whilst scheduling both virtual and face to face appointments to reach out to potential new business customers and grow your own territory. You will talk them through and demonstrate our extensive portfolio of products including Websites, Social media campaigns, online videos, Google AdWords/ Display as well as our own products Yell marketplace and Reputation Manager.
The day to day
The role requires someone with a strong work ethic, who is well organised, thrives on sourcing new business in innovative ways and has a strong desire to succeed.
Your week will be built around sourcing new prospects, telephoning customers to introduce yourself and Yell services, following up with an agreement to schedule an appointment to visit them. You’ll research their business to view current online visibility and success rates allowing you to pull together a full digital marketing proposal with the best possible solution in readiness to present an online demonstration.
Once onboard with us, your relationship with your customer does not stop there. You will be in regular contact with them to discuss additional services that will help their business to flourish, with a view to gaining additional referrals off the back of your success.
Resilience is crucial in this job, as this is a competitive market, and each day is different, so you’ll need to be on you’re ‘A’ game every day!
If successful we will give you 3 weeks virtual training via our Sales Induction programme, plus another 6 weeks additional training with our Growth Enablement Manager to give you all the tools and knowledge to succeed. You’re ongoing support continues with weekly training sessions, 121 catch ups with your manager and regular team meetings where you can discuss best practice with your teammates. You will also be accompanied on your first face to face client meeting, so you’re never left without help and guidance from your colleagues.
What you need
Demonstrable success working within a B2B sales environment
The ability to build excellent rapport and self-generate new business through finding your own leads.
Solid IT skills in the use of various software applications, such as Microsoft Teams, Google, Outlook and PowerPoint
Digital marketing industry knowledge preferred but not essential – including experience selling or qualifications in digital marketing strategies, platforms or products such as online directories, websites, social media or Google Adwords.
