We are seeking a passionate and experienced Java Developer to join our Reading based team, on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for an experienced software engineer to build a product for the very same company you work for.

The role will involve creating and maintaining beautiful clean code that creates cutting edge interfaces for one of the largest profile websites in the UK. The Role:

• Participate in a scrum teams dedicated to development of features or services for yell.com product channels
• Use and exploit the latest development technologies and frameworks to produce and deploy software, and mentor others in the same
• Build API and service solutions using Java, XML and RESTful API architectures
• Automated deployment and monitoring of services using frameworks and tools
• Deliver new features across the different yell.com product channels that create an outstanding user experience

The Person:

• BSC/MSc in numeric discipline or equivalent work experience
• Extensive and demonstrable experience as a software developer (java) in an agile environment
• Willingness to complete a task even if the boundaries go beyond prior expectations;
• Experience in the design and development of RESTful APIs using a variety of frameworks and tools
• Ability to create and produce beautifully crafted, robust and testable high quality code

In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate proof of eligibility to work in the UK and hold a valid work visa if applicable.
